Subject: Distribution of bridge and road safety and accountability program funds
Present Situation:

The State of Montana passed a new gas tax law in 2018 that will give cities more money for street projects within the City. The tax started in the second half of 2018.  The total City of Helena’s portion for 2021 is approximately $650,000. As part of the law, the State required cities to designate the money to a specific project through a resolution.

Background Information:

Consider a resolution to designate the 2021 HB473 Gas Tax Funds to the Rodney Street Reconstruction Project. 

Proposal/Objective:

Consider a resolution to designate the 2021 HB473 Gas Tax Funds to the Rodney Street Reconstruction Project. 

Advantage:

These funds will assist in the funding of the Rodney Street Reconstruction Project.
