Subject: Helena Citizens' Council Budget Recommendation FY 2022
Present Situation:

In accordance with the City Charter of Helena, the Helena Citizens’ Council shall review and recommend actions relating to the annual budget, and make recommendations relating to future development of the city.”  Thus, this document.

Background Information: The HCC encourages the City, led by the City Manager and Finance Department, to engage in strategic planning regarding the city budget, in collaboration with the City Commission, department heads, City Advisory committees, the public, and consultation with Lewis and Clark County.  Long-term fiscal sustainability for the City is dependent on a cohesive, strategic plan with input and understanding by all of the above interested parties

By supporting these objectives, Helena will continue to remain a prosperous city for residents and to provide high-quality services for residential neighborhoods as well as for specific districts.

Notable Energy Impact: The HCC recommendations can result in lower energy costs and decreased amount of waste.
